We're starting this Monday in Syria. Morethan 100,000 people had been killed since the civil war started there 2011. TheUnited Nations aimed to maintain global peace, so sometimes it gets involved inconflicts like this.

This weekend, the Syrian official said thegovernment would give UN inspectors access to any site of the suspectedchemical weapons attack. The Syrian government and rival forces are accusingeach other of using chemical weapons.

＂There are of course more and more videospopping up, and more and more people are accusing the government of usingchemical weapons here on Wednesday. Did you use them ?＂

＂Absolutely not. This is a big lie, and inSyria we had a responsible government, but at the same time, we had the irresponsibleenemies. These are enemies who are spreading such rumors.＂

US official says it's nearly certain thatthe Syrian government is responsible for any chemical weapons use. PresidentObama has called the use of chemical weapons a red line, meaning a line thatcould lead to US action. The president talked about it with CNN's Chrisrecently.

“When you start saying chemical weaponsused on a large scale and, again, we're still gathering information about thisparticular ban. But it's very troublesome.”
